01-06 Nashville, TN
This is me trying to pull off the somewhat fashionable 7 month pregnant look... My work sent us to Nashville for the weekend at the end of January along with about 749 other top performing bankers from across the country. Somehow with all that happened in 2005 (my brother Rus's death, our double wedding, my father's death, plus becoming fairly great with child toward the end of the year) I still made it the top of the list for sales performance. Number 227 out of over 7,000 bankers! Little did I know my job would soon become far less important to me with the birth of our first child...
Pace liked the historical Civil War battlefields outside Nashville... It's the history buff in him. :)
Back to our roots...

Visit to Grace, ID where the Rawlins clan originated with Pace's Grandpa Earl. Lots of rodeo'n and dangerous horseback ridin' down a mountain cliff at night (ok so I'm exagerating, but it was pretty scary. I am sad to admit I did get off and walked the horse down after the lead rider's horse slipped and fell out from under him!). Too much adventure for my blood! On the way we stopped by the Provo MTC - like the pic?
A San Francisco Treat

Two short weeks after the honeymoon Mom & Dad Rawlins treated us to a weekend in San Francisco with them. A quick decision to catch Les Mis there was one of our earliest joint decisions, and remains our personal best! It was AWESOME! Loved the sights, the clam chowder and the trollies. Lots of fun!

Honeymoon in Alaska

Thanks to Mom & Dad Rawlins we enjoyed a 10 day cruise through Alaska's inside passage. Wow, even in June the northern cities to me were fridged. By the time we got down to Juno, however, the weather was perfect. Entire trip, just right. :)

Pre-kids. We loved it!

Pace and I got engaged on his birthday, April 6th, 2005, on top of South Mountain. We started our marriage off the right way - took a few trips, lived it up! By August I was pregnant, just as planned.
