We're kind of partial but we think he's a cutie :)

We spent yesterday afternoon and evening at the ER - lame. I was racked with tremendous chills (Pace calls them convulsions) and a fever high and reoccurring enough for the doctors to suspect an infection. Luckily(?) it is only a virus combined with a UTI. Fun :(
At least I can just take Tylenol to keep the fever and chills at bay...
Pray no one else here gets it, especially our newest arrival; although Pace has already started to show signs of the virus. Poor guy - finals are only a couple weeks away.

Here are few more photos. Drew is happy and sweet, Sydney is too (sometimes naughty, but still our joy). We love them both so much!!

Can I tell you - no, I can't tell you, what would I have done without my mother here?? She is amazing and the truest influence for good that touches me sometimes. She reaches me where others can't. I love her so much!

Lastly, a phone call to my brother Jeff in Utah - he's a scientist, a professor at the university in Logan, with a fantastic sense of humor. He related to me a conversation between him and a colleague. Jeff asked how his kids were and the friend said, "Oh, they're fine.
The little parasites are slowly killing off their hosts." Hilarious!

Welcome Pace Andrew!

Little "Drew" was born Saturday, November 15th at 3:52 pm. The VBAC went well, no enduction, no C-Section! He's a sweet, content little guy, came in weighing 8 lbs 11 oz (OUCH says mom, but then again he's no 10 pounder!) and is 20.5 inches long. We are thrilled to be home just 27 hours after his birth. Mom is feeling fine, baby is beautiful, Syd even likes him so much she has placed her two favorite bunnies in his basinet, things she WILL NOT share with anyone else. :) She loves her baby brother. Dad is tired but proud, and grateful for the timing - labor started Friday night at 11:30 pm and
Monday is a rare day with only one class to attend.
We coudn't have planned it better. Hallelujah it is done!!!!

Visit from Grandma Mona Part 1: The Potty Book

My mom flew in Wednesday - hooray!! :)
Pace can go focus in studying, Sydney gets more love and attention, and I can have my mom here for the delivery of this baby.
I am so happy!

Mom brought a book for Syd from Aunt Ash called
Once Upon a Potty. You can guess from the title that our girl isn't a fan of the potty training process and needs extra help(s). Thanks, Aunt Ash! I filmed this - totally memorable.

At first Sydney is loving the new story that Grandma is reading to her, but then she is confused. The author (from Israel) shows a jug-like potty jar that closely resembles an American gallon of milk (at least in my two year old's mind). She's convinced it's milk, and at one point even says "chocolate milk," (if you can handle that kind of humor...) Finally she gets it, "the little girl learned to go poo-poo and pee-pee on the potty, and to flush it - no more diapers!" Watch her reaction when Grandma reads that line. She makes a disgusted face and gets down from the couch :) - Priceless.
