The end of "What a Day"

If you have not yet read the post titled "What a Day" (just below) I recommend doing so before proceeding with this one (in order to get the full effect). :)

3:00 Sydney wakes up from her nap happy! (Unusual.) Mom thinks, "Hurray! We can do this!"

4:15 We walk into the portrait studio, Syd's looking gorgeous, bright and happy. Yeah! These are gonna be good pictures!

4:20 Bright and happy Syd switches to crazy, intolerant, hysterical child the moment the photographer tries to get her to sit on the bench and pose for the photos.

4:45 Her bright red face now streaming with tears and drool (can you imagine? She would not calm down), Sydney pleads with Mom to go, "Bye-Bye!!?!!"

4:50
What could I do? Mom gives up, puts Sydney in her stroller and we leave the studio without one photo being taken. As we exit Sydney is smiling and waving "Bye!" like the sweetest angel ever. This is definitely one for the books/journal. Ha, seriously - What a day. :)

PS - Ashleigh Anne, could you please help me take pictures of your darling niece sometime? That'd be greeeaat. :)

Wow! Everytime I go to get pictures I always think "this is only going to get easier the older he gets, can't wait!" Lately I've been hearing these scary stories about how it's worse getting pro pictures taken when their older, Hmmm can't wait. Sounds like she had a fun day anyhow, despite her picture experience! Sorry about your eye too. I didn't even notice it yesterday. You still look gorgeous!

The posed portrait is WAY over-rated! Go for the fun family shoot! Kudos to you for saying "bye-bye" instead of forcing it!

What can I say.....except, lets here it for motherhood!!! Liza just left this morning after a 2 week visit and I know we are going to miss her and our darling grandchildren. It was so fun to have them all here. I miss the innocence of children.

Oh man, I'd be a little ticked, actually. Well, now that I think about it, I would've just told the photographer to snap a few photos, even with the drool, and I would call it a done deal. But I have a boy. I can understand why you would want to redo the photo shoot since you have the cute girl and the cute dress and cute bow and the cute beads! So. Yeah, what a day! Good to talk to you for a minute tonight...sorry you're not feeling well. Call me again anytime!

It is always a bad day when I have to take pictures at a studio. My last photo day was with all nieces and newphews. I highly recommend to find a budding photographer that is in your ward and have her do a photo session at your house. It is so much easier!
Oh yes it is me, Raina from the singles ward. Laura's friend.
